Project Adavaya 2024-28
Project Adavaya seeks to enhance service delivery for communities across North Bengal.
Anugyalaya Darjeeling Diocese Social Service Society is implementing this initiative in 2
Development Blocks (Pulbazar Bijanbari and Jorebunglow Sukhia Pokhari Blocks) and 3
Gram Panchayats under these 2 blocks focusing on bridging existing gaps in scheme
enrolment and service delivery.
To achieve this, the project employs a dual approach:
District-Level Coordination: Working closely with elected PRI members over four years, we aim to streamline the enrolment process and ensure effective delivery of social protection schemes.
State-Level Engagement: Utilizing our district and state teams, we will generate evidence on the bottlenecks in the delivery system, designing targeted interventions with support from the administrative machinery
The initiative focuses on the social protection of the community in terms of Direct Cash Transfer Schemes like Old age and widow pension, Rupashree and Kanyashree schemes and 2 indirect cash transfer scheme like SC/ST Certificates and Swastha Sathi Scheme of the West Bengal government.
